10/30/08-Linens N Things ;0)

Becky took us out this morning to Linens N Things because they are having a going out of business sale. We had a nice time this morning. Becky is moving in exactly two weeks. Super bummed, but excited to keep a relationship with her even though she will be in Arizona. I think that God is always teaching me a lesson in these situations. I think that there are so many people he has placed in my life for a short, but very important time, and then takes them away to somewhere else to teach me how to keep relationships... I guess or maybe preparing me for ministry and how to cope with relationships at a distance.

I am excited though because once again we are prayerfully considering our next step in our future... no clue what that is at all at this point...

I want to get involved in a small group. A group that people will be able to be held accountable and hold me accountable with things that are happening in my life... not sure where that is either.

Other than that, the kids are doing well. Since Wyatt's appointment with Childrens Hospital, he has been feeling a little better with belly achin', and has been eating quite a bit better. I am still working with him on eating better, and we are working on potty learning. On Monday we are planning to do just undies. Adalai is crazy running around. Such an energetic little girl. She says so many words now, it is amazing. Trying to say things new each day. She recognizes the difference between "Watta (water)" and "jooshh (juice)"... understands "potty" and "potty chair". Everything she says she follows up with "mommy"... "Potty, Mommy!" So silly, and so serious all at the same time ;)

Today 10/28/08

Today was a nice day.. I am feeling my patience restored, as I pray for daily. I am finding more time to relax and take a breath. I am so thankful that God is so merciful, and that my children are also. I get disappointed w/ myself so often, and I am not sure, but I just need to work on the future and work on just being the Mom that I really want to be, and when things get fumbled up, then well I have to remember that God's mercies are new each morning (and also my childrens too, again!). I am discouraged because I can't find a small group that will welcome my children... and I can't really afford a sitter, but feel that I need that community through the week. I am still reeling over the concert we attended on Saturday, and if you have time, would like to share a clip of a song that is on Michael's latest release (which came out today) I am moved by this song so much to tears even sometimes...

Concert!!!

My sister in law took me on a wonderful day adventure to go see the concert by Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman. I was amazed at the whole entire thing. The day leading up to the concert was such fun! Emily and I used to go on a shopping trip together almost weekly and it has been a long time, so we really enjoyed Gurnee Mills!!! I spent probably too much money, but it was sooo much fun! We hung out and ate a yummy lunch, and since Emily is a "friends online" member of MWS, we got to go to an Olive Garden dinner with other members and they passed out meet-n-greet passes. Emily was a winner! I didn't actually get so lucky, so anyhow Em got to get a pic with her fav singer! Check out her facebook, it is posted as her pic! ;)
The concert started with "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord" and "Awesome God" and some praise music... Then it was Steven Curtis Chapman's turn... And he sang "Yours" and talked about the passing of his daughter Maria Sue. He talked about her death and the events surrounding her death before singing the last verse of this song... and I swear everyone in the audiance was in like audible sobbing. I was trying to control it to not freak out the old guy next to me... Anyhow, SCC had me in tears and in praise the whole entire concert. He is such an amazing example of turning his life to God. Oh my gosh I enjoyed his music so much, I downloaded Yours (new version), Magnificent Obsession, and Miracle of the Moment... and then downloaded MWS's "New Hallelujah" SO GOOD!!!!!
Michael W Smith's portion of the concert was spectacular! I just enjoyed the whole thing so entirely, would loved to have hopped in the car to follow them to their concert that they did in Indiana yesterday!!! Anyhow, I was so incredibly moved by the worship, I am so thankful that both of the artists were such gifted worship leaders~ Oh man...
Anyhow, there are tons of things on youtube.com on SCC's music, and also very moving stories on his life.
The main thing that I discovered during the worship, and I am not even sure that I mentioned this to Em, but they talked about both of the artists projects to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I felt a tug on my heart, as they presented Shohannah's hope and also Compassion International to go into missions that has something to do with Widows and orphans. So anyhow, I guess that is all I know for now, but if you ever have an invitation to go to a Christian concert, or know someone that is coming to the area, you won't be dissapointed to attend!!!
God Bless you today... in all of your endeavors

10/23/08

We had a really nice day today... I am surprised it is almost the end of it actually. We had a nice morning. Visited Grams work and found some really great treasures to bring home with us. I always like to take a donation in to Grams work and then feel not so bad to take some fun things home. Today I got a Mr. Coffee maker... so thankful! Anyhow, the rest of the day we spent cleaning up and hanging around the apartment. The kids napped and then Ben and I were able to take a rest too... we are watching the Planet Earth series right now so we were able to relax and spend some time just chillin. I am working on finishing the blankey I am making Wyatt to work on some scarves for the Love Scarf Project. So, if you are a knitter, or a crocheter in fact, get our your needles and get mooovin! I can get you info if you are serious about making scarves/hats/mittens for this cause, please let me know and I will direct you!
Today has been a wonderful day because we were able to spend time at Grams. I am just astounded at what a miracle God has done in her. She looks and acts the same as always! She is doing really well. I am so thankful!
Adi has been fussing lately a lot because she wants her pacifier. Oh my gosh she knows which cabinet I keep them in and Ben and Becky particularly are really good at getting them away from her, but she bugs and fusses at me all night. What do I do? Oh my gosh it is terrible. She is crying and freaking out... what would you do?
Anyhow, other then fuss buster here, we are doing great!
Looking forward to shopping tomorrow with little Grams, and getting my Avon order! It is like Christmas every other week when my order comes. I love it! Most of the time I don't really get to keep anything, but I get to play "santa" and hand stuff out to people... LOVE my job first as a mother and wife, and also as an Avon rep! ;)

I got my Sunglasses...

This is my silly boy, and he is yes... wearing Dora sunglasses.
He was lovin his pancakes yesterday morning! Anyhow... Nothing much else today, oooh had my first experiance with Buffalo Wild Wings! So good!

Kitchen!

The pictures really don't do justice to how great my Mother in Law helped to make my kitchen look. We painted the wall a chocolately milk color, and it is super cute. Changed the whole thing!
I have been working hard to keep it nice and clean (oh snap, don't go out there right now and look ;)) Anyhow, promised that I would post pics, so here you go, Kel! ;)
