My best friend from high school came over last night and blessed my socks off by making me the best dinner I have had in a long time. I mean in a long time. It was fantastic. She cooked me some spicy salmon, asparagus, and new potatoes with onion. It was so yummy I was just blown away. She also brought me a really sweet card, and the sweetest potted tropical plant. It was such a blessing, I can't even explain. She also came outside and sat with my neighbors for our usual evening hang out, which I also really have been loving lately. I have really connected with my friends outside. We tell stories and laugh and get to know each other and it has really helped ease the anxiety that I used to feel when I would be at home for like the whole week! We have literally been home in the evening all week this week, which seldom happens, and I just LOVE the fact that we can just hang out outside sit around in the breeze, and let the kids play. What a blessed life.

Weary
So I have to be quite honest in saying that being a stay at home mom sometimes is extremely trying. I adore my children and they are so precious. I am so thankful to actually have the option of staying home with them. Lately I have been kind of running out of new and fun things for them to do when we are say, outside in the backyard, that they start to get on each other's nerves. Like Sunday when we had a few friends over, and Adi decided to munch Wyatt's fingers so hard, that my friend Julie had to pull his fingers from her mouth. I am sometimes at a loss at how to deal with these situations with poise, because seriously, do you pick up the screaming in pain kid first? or do you deal with the naughtiness of the naughty one? (FYI-did the latter of the two, shook my finger in her face hollered a bit and then tossed her in the crib for time out). Thankfully Julie was there, because she comforted Wyatt. It is just for me, that sometimes having children that are only 18 months apart in age, can be really trying. Today Wyatt wanted "upppy upppy" and so did she... Oh my gosh, so what do I do? Sit 'em both on the couch while I sit in the middle of them. I mean I try and handle it like it is no big deal, but it is something that I get anxious over sometimes. Today has been one of those days where the crying and whining seemed to never end, and bedtime was too far out of sight in my opinion. I feel like such a bad person saying these types of things, but I am just overwhelmed at the moment actually. I need to find peace and rest in the midst of dealing with every day things. I haven't been allowing myself that much peace or rest lately. I have been kind of thinking of the fruits of the spirit lately. They are love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Sadly some days, I feel as if I posses none of these fruits. I know that the Lord enables me to have them, but some days, I just feel void of all of them, but love. I know that the Lord says that love is the most important one, but other than that, why do I feel as if I can't grasp any of the fruits? I want some fruit. Even some fruit juice, but sometimes, I feel like there is nothin'. I am pretty sure I am exaggerating w/o meaning to, because I know that I have joy in my heart, and I can be kind, and good, and faithful, gentle, and have control of myself, but ggeeezzz lately, I feel like I only have a couple at a time. Anyhow, I just feel like my job was hard today. So tired, and ready for bed, so instead of making myself do my usual stuff, like reading the Bible and journaling, I am counting my reading from this morning as enough for the day, and my journaling as what I have just typed here. I am going to watch one show that I enjoy on television, and go to bed (after brushing, flossing and washing my face) and pray that the Lord shows me how to really put into work those fruits that he has instilled in me, but that I obviously don't have the self control to work on...
Lord, show me your way. Not mine. I want to posses your fruits that you have given me. Please Lord, tomorrow let me be patient, gentle and kind. I am working on those right now, but know they mean nothing w/o your help. The one who gave them to me. Thank you Jesus,
Amen!
I am so tired. Peace

Pediatrician visit #3 of the week
The doctor appointment this morning went really well. The on call doc was really good with the kids. She even got some giggles out of my sickies, which was SO nice and refreshing. She made duck sounds when she pushed on their bellies, and birdie sounds when she checked their ears. It was just really nice. Anyhow, she chatted with us for quite awhile with what the kids are experiencing and how they are feeling. She explained that she thought that it was a viral infection and that it has probably run its course and is now just getting them back into the normal swing of things is what we are facing. She said that it usually takes awhile before foods go well again for them after a viral infection. The doctor explained that most of the time, when you get sick like this, the first nutrients to leave your system are the enzymes (lactase) that breaks down lactose. So, she said that is why people usually experience more diarrhea and stuff after having dairy while they are sick. Good to know. I told her that we think Wyatt is lactose intolerant, and that we have been staying away from dairy. She checked them and said that they both looked well hydrated which is the first thing that they check for during prolonged illness that they have had. Anyhow, she was very comforting in telling us that they are on the upswing and will slowly get progressively better. She offered to do blood work to check WBC count and such, but said that she was confident that they would turn up pretty well. The doc also explained that if it were something very serious (brain tumor, leukemia) that they would show other signs (I didn't want to be dramatic, but we lost a cousin at 4 years of age to leukemia) and symptoms that would be pretty obvious. Phewww.... Anyhow, so we went grocery shopping together today and ate lunch together, the kids played and I gave Wyatt his first dose of Lactaid, which thankfully didn't upset his belly. They are laying down for nap now, Wyatt is crying, but I think only in protest to nap, which is a good thing! Well kinda...
Anyhow, I was thankful to have Ben there and so entirely thankful for the prayers that we have had surrounding us, and that the kids are doing pretty well today!
Thank you for your prayers and for checkin out the blog ;)

Poor Kids
I have to applaud my wonderful husband for being amazing this morning and taking charge, because all of a sudden I didn't feel well. So, after only three hours or so of sleep, he got up and took care of the kids, and went shopping, and cleaned up our house! Oh my gosh, I am so forever grateful!
I called the doctors office a few times today and finally discovered like 15 minutes before they were to close this evening, that the kids both tested negative for all of the testing they did. Oh my gosh. So, to me, that isn't such a good thing. I mean it is because it is good to know that they don't have a parasite, but I am so discouraged that they don't know what it is!
I have heard from a few people that they would probably take them out to Children's Hospital, but I don't know... Thankfully, Ben will be home soon so we can figure out what to do!

Puking Oh my gosh
Well, thought I was in the clear, at least for the throw up factor, and unfortunately that isn't the case... He was so sick this morning. I was crying he was throwing up and crying. It was so terrible. He is playful now, and having fun with Adalai, but nevertheless, we are on our way back to the pediatrician. GRRR I pray that we can find something and take care of it.

Doctor appointment
The doctor appointment went well today. He is super thorough and wants me to be comfortable with what he thinks needs to be done. He is pretty convinced that Wyatt is lactose intolerant. Wow just like his "Doms" shocker. Anyhow, Dr. Sawall decided that it would be best to try Lactaid for him because he said it is necessary for him to get the fats that are in milk for proper brain growth and whatnot. So, we are going to try that. If for some reason the Lactaid doesn't agree with him, then we are to switch him to lactose free milk, which he is used to drinking at Grams house anyhow. He is still a bit iffy this afternoon and a bit crabby from belly aches. He has been sleeping suprisingly well and thankful that he got a nap today because I am leaving him with Grams in a bit to go to worship practice. So, we are in the works of getting a few other things tested. He is wondering why both kids have a bit of diarreah if they had some type of virus last week, so he is testing for other possibilities of the water contamination theory. Anyhow, I am so thankful that he was really a blessing by hearing me and sitting to chat. He wants me to continue with Miralax for him and stuff like that, but we are in the works to get the paperwork switched so we can start making all of our appointments with him. Anyhow, thanks for praying, please pray that this is the answer to get my baby feeling well again.
Thanks peops
Oh and by the by, my dentist appointment went terrible. LOVE the place I go, just hate the fact of getting my teeth cleaned. See, I was born with terrible teeth. They look fine, just my gums are all bleedy and ick. My Dad has terrible teeth and gums too. And in fact, I think that my mom kind of does too. Know Grams hasn't had the best of luck with that either. Anyhow Dr. Paul gave me some spiffy mouthwash that should hopefully help my sore gums to feel better. Hate getting cleanings, and SO going to get a Spinbrush or something soon because electric toothbrushes are good for icky gums. So now that I have grossed you out, thanks for visiting my blog. Peace
