Feels like Fall!

We have been home quite a bit lately. We are working on planning and finalizing plans for our trip to Pennsylvania! Ben is taking a core course at Messiah college, and I am excited to be able to go on the ride and stay with our best friends! We are working on finding someone to watch Max, but I think we are leaning toward paying for him to be boarded while we are away. That way we can be sure that he is not causing a ruckous! We have continued to enjoy the rest of the summer (although it has been getting a bit chillier outside these days!) hanging out with our friendly neighbors. We all walked to the park last night after a yummmy supper with Becky (there were about 10 of us or so!), and it is fun to have an outting as a group instead of be lazy in our back yard! I am going to try for the rest of the summer and into the fall, work on getting in exercise outside as often as I can, and not just plunk in a comfy chair outside while the kids play. I have been knitting and reading while outside, so it isn't like I am completely unproductive, but I felt convicted last night when I came in, that I am being kind of selfish to just let the kids play and barely participate in the fun and the exercise that could potentially come in stride with just hanging out and playing with my own sweet adorable children. Tonight we have another outting with our friend downstairs (Becky) we are going to Pewaukee beach to see her favorite group play (they are called the Pink Flamingos, and apparently they are a great cover band!). I am so excited for that, because we haven't been to Pewaukee beach basically since the Journey stopped holding services there. The kids will totally dig it, and probably get super messy. The only thing that I would like to do while there is to stop at the Chocolate Factory and have a malt! ;) Anyhow, I am just finishing 1 Corinthians in my reading and hope to be done with 2 Corinthians by the weekend. That would be really nice because I need to get through a chunk of reading by my next mentor meeting. Make JoAnn proud! ;)
Peace
