ahhh it's Friday!

Well I am starting to pray that Ben gets to go back to work at Sullivan... I absolutely LOVE my time with him at home, it is an amazing blessing. I am starting, though, to look ahead and think about the fact that he will run out of vacation time sooner or later!

We have had a blast together just being home and running out for little things together. Today, the kids and I are dropping Ben off at his Dad's and they are heading out fishing, and the kids and I are going shopping, and then back home to clean up. Tomorrow we celebrate our dear daughters second birthday. I can't believe that she is two. She is so precious. So fun. I am so blessed to be her mother.

We didn't invite too many people over, just family and I think one friend to come and hang out... We are going to have cake, and hopefully at the beginning of the week next week, we are planning to take the kids to Monkey Joes. We barely ever do those type of things together, and I am really looking forward to it. I think that the kids are really enjoying having both of their parents around, and I am sure feeling less stress sharing some of my typical responsibilities with Ben. It is good for us.

We head to my Mom's on Sunday to celebrate Adi and Ben's birthday, which I of course look forward to, since we haven't been seeing my Mom lately for babysitting!
Wyatt slept in undies last night so he is all potty trained!

This weekend I am going to work to:

Find some peace and quiet and make headway on reading scripture...
I have to get done with Psalms and Daniel

Be quiet and reflect, be thankful

Do my homework

Spend peaceful family time

Have a blessed weekend friends!

Layoff

We have been extremely blessed so far to have work up to this point, because Ben has been facing layoff at work for quite awhile. He was told today that he is to take the rest of this week and all of next week off. I am nervous about it. I mean, we qualify for unemployment and his job has given him the information that he needs to know with filing for it and whatnot, but it is scary to me. It is a perfect night for this anxiety to hit because we just had a wonderful lecture at class. It is a perfect opportunity to rely on God. I know that He will provide. He is providing. We weren't part of a small group, and now I am part of two! That is a wonderful thing that God is providing. I am so excited. I am looking forward to spending time at home with my husband and children. I pray for God to do His will through this situation. I am hoping to keep myself calm about it by my remembering to rely on God.

Dear Lord~
Thank you for providing for us, Always. Thank you for the abundant blessings we have in our lives, and eventhough we are facing a layoff in these hard times, that there is still a stack of things in my kitchen to give away to a home where the things are needed. Lord you amaze me in the way you time things. I need to remember to rely on you, because You are the one who provides for us, not Ben's job. Do your will in this time, and help us to see things that you want for us. God thank you for your provision. Lord I need your help now, as I do always.
Love you,
Sara

Adalai turns 2 on Saturday! Oh man!

Wow Adalai turns two in 4 days. I can't believe it!
I can't believe how that day went down. My sister and I went out to shop for a new camera for her... at walmart. Perfect timing to buy a camera because we stopped at Burger King (which I didn't eat at because I learned my lesson with what happens if you go in for an emergancy cesarean w/ a full tummy) and then headed right to the doctor from Burger King. Kir had to call into work, but I was so thankful she was there, because I would have had Wyatt by myself!
Ben was on his way to the dentist (where his mom works) and so I called her and they both jumped in the car together to come to the hospital. Crazy stressful. She was about 4 weeks early. Weighed in at 5lbs 1oz, and was born at 6.20pm on the 14th. She was a beautiful baby. Is a beautiful and spunky toddler...
So, we are having cake here, and promised her I would take her to Monkey Joe's. She loved that place, and then it would be fun for her big brother too!

Today

This morning:

Today, I am looking forward to going to church.

I am really excited to see Kira and Emily. I can't wait to pat that baby belly on Em.

I am thinking that eventhough it is gloomy out, that I am going to really try and have a possitive attitude.

I want to be patient.

I am looking forward to Pastor Johns sermon, as he usually has something that I can really connect with (and most of the time it oddly parrallels what I am learning in Perspectives).

I am thoroughly enjoying my coffee.

I need to get some exercise.

I am happy that my apartment is semi-clean (except the mound of dishes waiting for me)

I am hoping to get some time this afternoon to rest, reflect, and read my book in a quiet place.

I want to listen to some good music while the kids dance around.

I am hoping you have as good of a day as I am prayin to have.

Bless you...
