Concert!!!

My sister in law took me on a wonderful day adventure to go see the concert by Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman. I was amazed at the whole entire thing. The day leading up to the concert was such fun! Emily and I used to go on a shopping trip together almost weekly and it has been a long time, so we really enjoyed Gurnee Mills!!! I spent probably too much money, but it was sooo much fun! We hung out and ate a yummy lunch, and since Emily is a "friends online" member of MWS, we got to go to an Olive Garden dinner with other members and they passed out meet-n-greet passes. Emily was a winner! I didn't actually get so lucky, so anyhow Em got to get a pic with her fav singer! Check out her facebook, it is posted as her pic! ;)
The concert started with "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord" and "Awesome God" and some praise music... Then it was Steven Curtis Chapman's turn... And he sang "Yours" and talked about the passing of his daughter Maria Sue. He talked about her death and the events surrounding her death before singing the last verse of this song... and I swear everyone in the audiance was in like audible sobbing. I was trying to control it to not freak out the old guy next to me... Anyhow, SCC had me in tears and in praise the whole entire concert. He is such an amazing example of turning his life to God. Oh my gosh I enjoyed his music so much, I downloaded Yours (new version), Magnificent Obsession, and Miracle of the Moment... and then downloaded MWS's "New Hallelujah" SO GOOD!!!!!
Michael W Smith's portion of the concert was spectacular! I just enjoyed the whole thing so entirely, would loved to have hopped in the car to follow them to their concert that they did in Indiana yesterday!!! Anyhow, I was so incredibly moved by the worship, I am so thankful that both of the artists were such gifted worship leaders~ Oh man...
Anyhow, there are tons of things on youtube.com on SCC's music, and also very moving stories on his life.
The main thing that I discovered during the worship, and I am not even sure that I mentioned this to Em, but they talked about both of the artists projects to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I felt a tug on my heart, as they presented Shohannah's hope and also Compassion International to go into missions that has something to do with Widows and orphans. So anyhow, I guess that is all I know for now, but if you ever have an invitation to go to a Christian concert, or know someone that is coming to the area, you won't be dissapointed to attend!!!
God Bless you today... in all of your endeavors
